Brain, Behaviour and Evolution
We are part of the Department of Biological Sciences at Macquarie University, within the Division of Brain, Behaviour and Evolution.
We are interested in fish behavioural ecology and comparative cognition, focusing on learning and memory, cerebral lateralization and personality. We frequently look to apply our research to fisheries or conservation management, including life-skills training for hatchery-reared fishes.
Take a look at our 'Research' section to find out specific details of the projects we have running at the moment.
History of The Fish Lab
Culum moved to Macquarie University in 2006 on an Australian Research Fellowship.
The lab quickly grew and many Australian and international biologists have studied or
collaborated with us.

'People' section to know more about current or past lab members
and collaborators.
